Margarita Davis-Boyer, MSW, completed her secondary and graduate education at Temple University - receiving a BA in Criminal Justice and a Masters Degree in Social Work. While acquiring the aforementioned degrees, Mrs.Davis-Boyer served as a Youth Development Specialist and Counselor for Temple University's Center for Social Policy and Community (CSPCD).
As the Youth Development Specialist, she serviced youth with behavioral and educational challenges, and their families at one of Philadelphia's disciplinarian schools - the Daniel Boone School. Prior to her work at CSPCD, Mrs.Davis-Boyer was a youth coordinator for the Philadelphia Adolescent Initiative Program which is now the Achieving Independence Center. She also served as a case manager and mentor for foster and adoption care organizations.
Mrs.Davis-Boyer is currently the Elementary School Counselor at Girard College, where she responds to her students' needs and services any behavioral health challenges. Mrs.Davis-Boyer also serves as a member on several Department of Human Services advisory boards, which allows her to continue her mission to advocate for the social and emotional wellness of youth. Mrs.Davis-Boyer is a dedicated professional, youth advocate, and inspirational speaker on all issues regarding child welfare.
